All of my classes are currently working on the a collaborative art project from 9/6/2018 to 9/18/2018.
All classes are learning color wheel concepts. First graders are learning about the primary and secondary colors. Second graders are reviewing learned concepts, then adding warm, cool and complimentary colors to their color wheel facts. Fourth graders are studying color values. Then the students will be completing drawings based on the newly learned color theories. Timeline: 9/19/2018 to 10/16/2018.
First graders are illustrating the poem, "Five Little Pumpkins" in class and then will be creating another seasonal drawing before the end of October. Second graders are also illustrating a poem, "Monsters Everywhere". If there is time they will complete another seasonal drawing before the end of the month. Fourth graders are working on haunted house drawings, scheduled to be completed before the end of the month as well.
First and Second graders created leaf rubbings while fourth grade made leave collages during November.
December highlights: First graders are drawing gingerbread houses, second and fourth graders are drawing nutcrackers.
