WELCOME BACK
Welcome back to a new school year! I am your child's resource teacher, my name is Mrs. Athena Giunchini. As a resource teacher, I am responsible for providing direct support within the classroom. In addition, I am responsible for collaborating with the general education teacher, as well as, the Child Study Team. Communication between home and school is extremely important, especially as we navigate through this uncertain time, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation. I am thrilled to be part of this community of learners. We will face challenges, successes, frustrations, and joys together this year. Throughout it all, I will help you reach for your dreams, encourage you to achieve more than you ever thought you could, and inspire you to be the best you. As the school year progresses it is essential to your child's academic development to know his/her parents and teachers are here for support. I hope to encourage your child and develop his/her academic and critical thinking skills and foster a skill for learning. Please encourage this idea by assisting your child with studying for upcoming tests and quizzes, and making sure his/her homework is complete on a daily basis. I wish you and your child a successful year!
