Welcome to Mrs. Ortiz's Kindergarten Class!

My name is Mrs. Ortiz. I have been teaching for 21 years in North Bergen. I graduated from Caldwell College. I am also a certified and licensed Reading Specialist, currently working on my Masters degree. I’m married and have 2 sons. My favorite colors are hot pink and purple. I love anything that sparkles! On my free time, I love to spend quality time with my family. 

My mission is to teach in a fun way where all children can learn. I strive to positively remind all children that “they can do it.” I encourage my students to always think positively and remind them that we are training to be “geniuses.” I work closely with all my parents. I encourage communication with my parents to make sure each child is on task. My goal is for all my students to leave my classroom with confidence and ready for First Grade. I love all my students as if they were my own.
