Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students;
Welcome to our new school year of 2023/2024. I am the new 7th Grade Mathematics teacher, Mr. Salem. On my webpage, there will be information about any assignments, activities, and extra resources the students can use. More information will be added on throughout the year. I am always willing to help the students grow and learn as much as they can. I expect the students to be on time to class, respectful, and most importantly to have fun while learning.
I will start my EXTRA HELP on September 19, 2023 and it will be every Tuesday from 3:00p to 3:30p. I encourage any student that needs help to attend these hours.

About Me:
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Mr. Salem and I will be the 7th Grade Math Teacher for this wonderful new year. I recently received my Master's Degree from Rutgers University and this will be my first-year teaching at Robert Fulton. I grew up in North Bergen and attended Robert Fulton as a student almost 10 years ago so it is exciting to be able to come back here and teach the students that were in my same position. I am very eager to get started and work with all the students to have a successful school year.
I have always had a passion for teaching my whole life and I am lucky enough to also be one of the new wrestling coaches for NBHS this year! I have been a student-athlete my entire life and it will be a lot of fun doing the same as a teacher now. Some of my favorite things to do is travel, go to concerts, and spent time with those I love. I look forward to getting to know everyone in this year's class!
I know Math is one of those subjects that can be very difficult for some students, but I believer that anyone in this class can succeed. I am a firm believer in having a comfortable, safe, and supportive learning environment that allows everyone to be engaged and most importantly HAVE FUN! I believe in a student-led classroom where the students are the core learning element of the classroom. Students will be able to interact, share, and learn together in a safe and respectful environment. I want students to learn how to be able to critically think and come up with their own strategies for solving and share with their peers different ways of solving.
I look forward to meeting all of you and starting this journey together! Let's make this a great year full of fun, growth, and positivity!
