About the Teacher!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Nicole Jade Somick and this is my seventh year as an educator! I am so excited to embark on this journey together and look forward to working with you! I will be your child's ELA and Math Resource teacher and will be working closely with Mrs. Posos to ensure your child excels in every aspect of his/her education. 

I was born and raised in North Bergen! After graduating from North Bergen High School, I went to Caldwell University for one year, then graduated from New Jersey City University with a Bachelors Degree in History and Education K - 6. I am also certified as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities. I am currently working on completing my Masters Degree as a Learning Disability Teachers Consultant and hope to continue my education even further. 

I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Eddie, and have three step - children, Kane, Matthew, and Ava. I also have two dogs, Otis and Bailey. Here are a few of my favorite things:

Hobbies: watching College Football ( GO MICHIGAN !!), going to the gym, and playing with my dogs and kids!
