About the Teacher!

Hello! My name in Mrs. Nicole Jade Somick and this is my sixth year as an educator! I am so excited to embark on this journey together and look forward to working with you! I will be your child's ELA and Math Resource teacher and will be working closely with Mrs. Posos, Ms. Baffuto, and Mrs. Abdelhadi to ensure your child excels in every aspect of his/her education. 

I was born and raised in North Bergen! After graduating from North Bergen High School, I went to Caldwell University for one year, then graduated from New Jersey City University with a Bachelors Degree in History and Education K - 6. I am also certified as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities. I am currently working on completing my Masters Degree as a Learning Disability Teachers Consultant and hope to continue my education even further. 

I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Eddie, and have three step - children, Kane, Matthew, and Ava. I also have two dogs, Otis and Bailey. Here are a few of my favorite things:

Hobbies: watching high school football (GO BRUINS!), going to the gym, and playing with my dogs and kids!
