Select Chorus Information
To all 5th-8th grade parent(s)/ guardian(s):
My name is Claudia Scaran and I am the chorus director as well as your child’s general music teacher. I would like to ask of you to read over the rules/ regulations of Select Chorus.
Rules and Procedures:
*All rehearsals are held after school on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30-4:30pm in the auditorium unless otherwise noted.
*All members are expected to attend rehearsals unless there is an absence on the school day by the student.
*If a student is unable to attend a rehearsal, they need to see Ms. Scaran 2 weeks prior to the day of a rehearsal. Unable to do so will result in 1 unexcused absence.
*If a student accumulates 3 unexcused absences, they will be asked to resign membership.
*Members are expected to come fully prepared with music and any other materials that may be asked of them.
Concert Dates and Performances:
Concert attire- Nice white shirt (no t-shirts) and black dress pants/skirts.
Shoes- Black dress shoes. No sneakers or extreme high heels.
It is mandatory for all members to attend choral performances!
Winterfest- Thursday, November 29th, 2018.
Winter Concert- Thursday, December 13th, 2018 (evening).
Friday, December 14th, 2018 (daytime).
Spring Concert- Thursday, April 11th, 2019 (evening).
Friday, April 12th, 2019 (daytime).
