About Me

I was born and raised in North Bergen.  I attended Lincoln School, NBHS and graduated from Florida Atlantic University where I studied Anthropology, Biology and Environmental Studies.  I have ALWAYS loved science.  As a child I wanted to be a veterinarian, then a marine biologist, then a zoologist, then a park ranger and finally a primatologist.  I was the neighborhood "explorer", collecting ladybugs and snails and hunting for snakes.  When I graduated college I volunteered at the Bronx Zoo.  It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life!  I was able to work with giraffes, gorillas, monkeys, lions, bears, bats and zebra...just to name a few.
My interests have always been based in science and I love nothing more than to share my passion for science with my students.  It is my goal to instill a love of nature and ALL living things in each and every one of you so that you can become advocates for our home, planet Earth.
I have 2 daughters.  My oldest is attending Rutgers New Brunswick and my youngest  will be graduating 8th grade this year.  We LOVE being outdoors, hiking, going to the beach and playing with our many birds..,parakeets: Frankie, Sweet Pea and Pixie and our cockatiel Seamus.
